I must have forgotten the ending since I saw the film about ten years ago, because honestly I was sort of expecting a different one. Oh, well. I much preferred Rob while he was single, desperate, miserable and quite a loser and I'm almost positive people cannot be so introspective with their own lives except in fiction and maybe that's what made it readable and likeable.
P.S. The only decent thing I've listened to (please read: by choice) in the last couple of days was Prince and I wasn't quite sure Rob would approve of him; luckily in the last pages when asked his top five of all times "Little Red Corvette" almost made the list, so I felt like getting his blessing. (Messed up as he is, he changed his mind about four times so in the end other guys made it instead of Prince. Truly disappointed.)
