Another excellent serving of domestic drama. There probably was a great deal of hard reality to put up with after the war, otherwise I can't explain why people would drag themselves into such delusions. Or?
I totally love Amanda - I know it's not fair, who on earth could possibly bear such a burden of a mother? Yet, it must be Mr. Williams' fault for portraying such a strong female character - the Southern beauty, having a difficult time accepting the social change in her status, still indulging herself into past memories, but being a dutiful, loving (and annoying) mother.
